Olaf Brade
Dipl. Ing. Telecommunications Engineering (Technical University of Berlin)
I have been in the telecommunications industry in the area of research and development for more than 25 years. Throughout my studies I had stints at the Heinrich-Hertz-Institute (nowadays part of the Frauenhofer-Gesellschaft, a major German research institution) as research fellow and later joined Systec, a German ISDN systems manufacturer. In 1991 I was one of the initial employees at Cellware Broadband, an innovative German ATM technology company, where I came in touch with complex systems design for high-speed circuit emulation services. Later I moved into managerial positions in R&D with a focus on integrated systems design in the field of circuit emulation services. At ADVA Optical Networking in beginning of 2000 I was able to leverage my knowledge into the optical networking field becoming design manager for an enterprise DWDM system.
Since 2003 I am working as a freelancer, offering design services and support to companies who have the need to outsource tasks, giving them the opportunity to focus on their core competencies, without the need to build up additional staff or time consuming education of their personnel.
Working in close cooperation with other freelancers, I am able to offer solutions for challenging tasks in the field of hardware development and hardware oriented software design.
If you need support for a project, and need some further information (CV, profile), please do not hesitate to call me.
